These Terms of Service apply to all users of the BidRoute platform. Part 1 covers homeowners. Part 2 covers contractors. Both parts apply to anyone using the platform in either capacity.
BidRoute is a lead-routing and project-management platform that connects homeowners with qualified local contractors. BidRoute facilitates introductions and provides communication tools — it is not a contractor, does not perform work, and is not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor you hire through the Platform.
By creating an account and posting jobs on BidRoute, you agree to:
Contractors on BidRoute are independent businesses, not employees or agents of BidRoute. You are responsible for independently evaluating any contractor before hiring, including verifying licensure, insurance, and past work. BidRoute does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or timeliness of any work performed.
BidRoute is not responsible for disputes between homeowners and contractors, property damage, bodily injury, substandard workmanship, or any financial loss arising from work arranged through the Platform.
If you have a dispute with a contractor, we encourage you to first contact us — we take complaints seriously and will investigate every report. However, resolution of contractor disputes is ultimately between you and the contractor.
You agree not to:
BidRoute reserves the right to suspend or terminate any homeowner account for violations of these terms.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Utah County, Utah under the rules of a mutually agreed arbitration provider.
Your use of BidRoute is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
BidRoute may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
This Contractor Platform Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between BidRoute ("Platform") and the individual or business entity applying to provide services through the Platform ("Contractor"). By submitting a contractor application and checking the acceptance box, the Contractor agrees to be bound by all terms set forth herein.
BidRoute is a lead-routing and project-management platform that connects homeowners with licensed local contractors. BidRoute is not a party to any contract for work between a homeowner and contractor, does not employ contractors, and does not perform or supervise any physical work.
By participating in the BidRoute network, the Contractor agrees to the following obligations:
BidRoute charges a platform fee upon job completion. No fee is charged for submitting bids, browsing job postings, or for jobs that are not awarded to the Contractor.
| Project Value | Fee Rate | Fee Cap |
|---|---|---|
| $0 – $4,000 | 7.5% | $300 |
| $4,001 – $6,000 | Flat fee | $300 |
| $6,001 – $20,000 | 5% | $1,000 |
| Above $20,000 | Flat fee | $1,000 |
BidRoute reserves the right to update the fee schedule with reasonable advance notice. Fees in effect at the time a job is awarded govern that specific job.
Platform fees are due within 5 business days of the job being marked complete. Accepted payment methods include cash, personal or business check, Venmo, Zelle, and Square.
Invoices not paid within the 5-day grace period will accrue interest at an annual rate of 18% APR (1.5% per month) on the outstanding balance, calculated from the due date until paid in full.
BidRoute reserves the right to suspend or terminate Platform access for accounts with unpaid balances.
Contractors may not solicit homeowners introduced through BidRoute to conduct work outside the Platform during the term of this Agreement and for a period of 12 months after last contact through the Platform. Attempting to circumvent the platform fee — including by arranging payment directly or encouraging homeowners to cancel platform-managed jobs — is a material breach of this Agreement and may result in immediate termination and a fee equal to the fee that would have been owed.
BidRoute reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any Contractor account that:
Upon termination, any outstanding platform fees remain due and payable in full.
BidRoute does not guarantee the volume, frequency, or quality of job leads delivered. The Platform is provided "as is." BidRoute is not responsible for disputes between homeowners and contractors, property damage, bodily injury, payment disputes, or any loss arising from work arranged through the Platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BidRoute's total liability to any Contractor for any claim arising from or related to this Agreement shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by that Contractor in the 12 months preceding the claim.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute arising from or related to this Agreement that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Utah County, Utah under the rules of a mutually agreed arbitration provider. The prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.
BidRoute may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active contractors via email with at least 14 days' notice before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any updated Agreement constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
