BidRoute is a lead-routing and project-management platform connecting homeowners with local contractors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use BidRoute's website and services. Questions or data requests may be directed to thomas@mybidroute.com.
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, post a job, apply as a contractor, or communicate through the Platform, including:
We also automatically collect limited technical data when you use the Platform, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and analytics purposes.
BidRoute uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session (e.g., keeping you logged in), remember your preferences, and improve Platform performance. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some Platform features may not function without them.
We use your information solely to operate and improve the BidRoute Platform, including:
When you post a job, project details and photos are shared with contractors who are matched to your posting. Once a contractor is selected, project details are visible only to the hired contractor. Contractors who were not selected do not retain access to your photos or project specifics after a job is closed or expired.
Your personal contact information (phone number, email address, home address) is never automatically shared with contractors. You choose what to disclose directly.
License and insurance information submitted during the contractor application process is used solely for verification purposes. This information is not shared with homeowners or third parties beyond what is necessary for verification.
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Platform communications (messages, bids, estimates) are retained for 12 months after the relevant job is closed, then deleted from active systems. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us.
Certain financial records and legally required data may be retained longer for compliance purposes, even after account deletion.
BidRoute uses third-party services to operate the Platform, including email delivery (Resend) and payment processing. These providers operate under their own privacy policies and are permitted to use your data only as necessary to provide services to BidRoute. We do not permit them to use your data for their own purposes or to sell it to others.
BidRoute is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and restricted staff access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
